Repair Is Possible: Break the Cycle and Rebuild Trust
Therapy for individuals, couples, and families in California
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
-Carl Jung
You just discovered your partner cheated.
You may be feeling angry, shocked, confused, and grieving the loss of trust and security. You might even feel like you’re having an out-of-body experience, as if your whole world just came crashing down.
Big decisions do not have to be made right away. Space to process comes first. The emotions after betrayal can feel overwhelming and disorienting. Having steady support can make a difference.
A consultation is simply a conversation, a chance to ask questions and see what support might look like.
How does couples counseling with me looks like:
Sessions are 50 minutes and held weekly or biweekly for 16+ weeks.
Therapy integrates the Gottman Method along with other approaches tailored to your unique relationship and needs.
During the first session, we will get to know each other and explore what has been hurting in the relationship so we can create a clear plan for reaching your goals.
In the second and third sessions, I will meet with each partner individually to better understand personal experiences, perspectives, and relationship history.
You will also complete a research-based couples assessment designed to provide a deeper understanding of your relationship dynamics, strengths, and growth areas.
In the fourth session, we will come back together to review the assessment results and outline a focused, collaborative treatment plan.
