What to Expect in Therapy

Consultations last for 15 minutes at the most.

Intake
Intake paperwork, including important assessments are sent for you to fill out before the first session.

Session
Meeting for session, get to know each other, understanding your current needs, and creating goals for our time together.

The length of treatment can vary person to person due to the type of therapy, issues addressed in sessions, experiences that are individual to the person and also depending on what level of commitment they may have. On many occasions, unfortunately, the length of treatment can be shortened if your insurance company decides to stop covering your sessions. However, you are always welcome to stay in treatment by paying out-of-pocket. If this is ever the case, we can hold a discussion on how we can proceed.

Sessions are online only.

Limited sliding scale spots are offered based on tiers. Low income, moderate income, and high income to make therapy more accessible for individuals with financial needs. Sliding scale is reevaluated every three months.

The following insurances are accepted in California: Aetna, United Health Care, Oxford and Quest Behavioral Health. The following insurances are accepted in Colorado: Aetna, United Health Care, Oxford, Quest Behavioral Health, and Oscar.
Please note, for couples therapy, only out-of-pocket pay is accepted.

Any canceled or rescheduled sessions with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged $125. In case of a true emergency, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss options.
This policy has been set in place because your session time has been set aside exclusively for you.

If it is clinically appropriate, biweekly sessions can be offered.

The practice is open for therapy sessions from Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:00pm and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Specific availability needs to be discussed with therapist before or during the consultation call.

After the consultation call is complete, intake forms will be sent to you, a video link for your sessions will be generated.
